Iron has a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from UFRJ, and has an M.S. and is a Ph. D. candidate in Biochemistry from the Instituto de Bioquímica Médica at UFRJ. Iron has expertise in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, and Metabolism. He has eight peer-reviewed published works in the areas of Metabolism, Cancer, and Bioinformatics. Iron joined Biozeus in 2017, acting in the analysis of new projects in the scientific development of the company’s projects and in the analysis, planning, and execution of actions related to the Business Development goals of the company. Currently Iron oversees the activities of a new project on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and the BZ043 project, of a new compound for the treatment of Diabetes. Also, Iron assists the company in Business Development related tasks, as well as Toxicology related tasks.
